Landmark Theatres is committed to providing a quality entertainment experience for our deaf, hard of hearing and vision impaired guests by offering several options depending on available content and needs. For our mobile website we have deployed UserWay's AI Powered Accessibility Widget. We are able to provide Alternative Listening Devices, which use Infrared Technology at all of our locations for every type of film. In addition, we also offer a personal closed-captioning system and an enhanced audio system for content that is made available by distributors. Some of our locations are also able to provide a Hearing Loop system for our guests with a T-coil hearing aid. You can learn more about these solutions below.

Hearing Loop is an induction loop system which magnetically transmits the auditorium sound to compatible hearing aids. Our guests who have hearing aids with T-Coils can link directly into the theatre sound system at the touch of a button on their hearing aid. This delivers our guests a crisp and clear sound free from background noise and no headset is required. Hearing Loop is available at Landmark Theatres in Chicago and Aquarius Theatre, San Francisco Peninsula.

CaptiView is a personal closed captioning device which transmits dialogue to a small easy-to-read personal screen which attaches right to your seat. The device features a privacy visor to prevent distractions to others in the auditorium. Closed captioning availability is subject to the content made available from distributors. Not every film is enabled with the content necessary for closed captioning.

Fidelio is a wireless audio system that delivers descriptive narration for the visually impaired and hard of hearing guests. The system consists of a compact audio receiver with a plug-in headset, or you can bring in your own headset. Descriptive Narration availability is subject to the content made available from distributors. Not every film is enabled with the content necessary for descriptive narration.

CCR-100 is a personal closed captioning device that receives and displays captions via infrared energy. This device fits into the cupholder of your theatre seat. Closed captioning availability is subject to the content offered from distributors. Not every film is enabled with the content necessary for closed captioning.

IRH-280 or IRH-281 Headphone Receiver is a two channel Infrared headphone that delivers descriptive narration, known as Descriptive Video Services and can also enhance dialogue for the hard of hearing You can switch between 2.3 or 2.8 MHz and there is a volume control for each ear of the headset. Not every film is enabled with the content necessary for descriptive narration.

To determine if the film you are seeing has content that can be enhanced using one of the above devices, select More Info from the Now Playing tab of our website and look for the following terms: Descriptive Video Services; Closed Captioned and Hard of Hearing. REQUESTING A DEVICE

Please request the CaptiView, Fidelio or ALD devices from our box office cashiers – Some locations will have them at box office or concessions depending on available space – so.... Please inquire about the CaptiView, Fidelio or ALD devices when making your ticket purchase.
 
You will be given the CaptiView, Fidelio or ALD device in exchange for your name and phone number and any identification card that shows your name. The identification card will not be collected by the theatre personnel.
 
The CaptiView or Fidelio device will be programmed for you at the box office with exactly the features you require for your film presentation.

Once your film is over, simply bring the device back to the cashier.
